What Happens When the Fear of God Wanes -
What happens when a wife or mother begins to lose her fear of God? Kevin Swanson explains in this video that wives and mothers struggle with the fear of man. Specifically, they worry about various circumstances, the future, or her struggle to respect her husband because he's made poor decisions and she fears he might make similar decisions in the future. This stems from the fact that she does not trust or fear God and doesn’t recognize that all things are in the hand of God. Consequently, her children get that message that Mom is worried and anxious and doesn’t trust God and doesn’t fear God as the sovereign God as He is portrayed in Scripture. Are there areas of your life that you struggle with trusting God? Do you believe that He is sovereign, He is all-powerful, and He controls all things? Matthew 6:25 (NKJV) – “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?”
