The Fear of Man in the Ministry -
How are we to avoid the fear of man? Clarence Simmons explains in this video that we ought to cry out to God because our natural inclination is the fear of man – that is natural. We are to plead with God to give us boldness to proclaim His truth, no matter the cost. That is what we need to pursue. We do speak the truth because God has called us to His service and our primary obligation is first to Him and then to the flock. We are to preach His truth because it is His truth. We need to do that boldly and whole-heartedly and with backbone. Preaching God's Word to those around us is such a glorious responsibility. This is the will of God for us – to press on, not to quit but to keep going and go until the end as we look to Jesus, our great Saviour, who redeemed us by His great blood for the purpose of forming His Church into His likeness by the power of His Holy Spirit. Galatians 1:10 (NKJV) – “For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.”
