Chocolate Covered Cockroaches -

What is your view of sin and liberty?

Kevin Swanson explains that today, sin is often presented as a gateway to happiness. Sin is a rebellion against God’s judgment of sin.

He likens sin to chocolate-covered cockroaches. For the first microsecond, you taste the chocolate, but before you can even begin to enjoy the chocolate, you crunch into the cockroach that represents sin.

Salvation comes when God delivers us from the bondage of sin. While you might deceive yourself into thinking that you are free while living in sin, that is a false and misguided belief. True liberty, as defined by God, comes from being obedient to God’s will and purpose. God defines the terms. We have maximum liberty and joy in His will for us.

2 Corinthians 5:10 (NKJV) – “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”
